In conversation with GOODTiMES' Puja Talwar, the team of The Empire, featuring Kunal Kapoor, Dino Morea, Drasthi Dhami, talk about their characters, what led them to say 'yes' to the script and the role of OTT platforms in improving the quality of content, among other things. Kunal Kapoor begins the interview by telling us what we can expect from the web-series that's being touted as the Indian 'Game Of Thrones.' Dino Morea briefly talks about his character and also shares his reasons for agreeing to be part of this humongous project. Drasthi Dhami, who plays Khanzada Begum, also talks about her experience. Interestingly, amongst the three of them it was only Kunal Kapoor who had read the book, even before being approached for this project, that this series is inspired from. The trio open up the preparations they had to take up to get under the skin of their characters and to make it look as real and as believable as possible. They conclude the interview by telling us their thoughts on the pros of OTT platform and how it has given rise to better content and more work, especially for the newcomers. They also tell us which historical figure and which era of the Indian history they'd like be visit, if that were ever possible.
