Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday held a meeting with BMC Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal and discussed the issue of the discovery of the new Corona variant in South Africa. The BMC declared that extreme precautions should be taken in the Mumbai metropolis.

BMC Commissioner Chahal directed authorities at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, the administration of Greater Mumbai Municipal Corporation and the police to take all necessary precautions at their respective levels.
