Chaos ensued in Madhya Pradesh's capital Bhopal on Friday after some leaders of the National Student Union of India (NSUI), the student wing of the Congress, clashed with police during a protest over the National Education Policy. Incidents of stone pelting and lathicharge were also reported.
The protests come as the Madhya Pradesh government gets ready to adopt the National Education Policy announced by the Centre last year.
