Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was sensing defeat in the upcoming elections, which is why he did a U-turn and scrapped the three farm laws.
"Why is he doing this? Is the nation not understanding that polls are approaching and they might have felt that the situation isn't right? They can see in surveys that the situation isn't right. So, they've come to apologise before the polls," Priyanka Gandhi said at a press briefing on Friday.
