Assam: Two Women Journalists detained, Editors Guild Demands Release. After registering a case against two women journalists following the complaint of a supporter of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, the police have taken them into custody. Samridhi Sakuniya and Swaran Jha said that she was covering the recent violence in Tripura. Samriddhi Sakuniya tweeted that he has been detained at Neelambazar Police Station in Karimganj, Assam.

विश्व हिंदू परिषद (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) के एक समर्थक की शिकायत के बाद दो महिला पत्रकारों के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज कर पुलिस ने उन्हें हिरासत में ले लिया है. समृद्धि सकुनिया (Samridhi Sakuniya) और स्वर्ण झा (Swaran Jha) ने कहा कि वो त्रिपुरा में हुई हालिया हिंसा को कवर कर रही थीं. समृद्धि सकुनिया ने ट्वीट किया कि उन्हें असम के करीमगंज के नीलमबाजार पुलिस स्टेशन में हिरासत में लिया गया है.
