An infestation of giant African snails is costing Barrackpore farmers their livelihood. Tonight, they are pleading with the Ministry of Agriculture for help.

The farmers tell reporter Cindy Raghubar-Teekersingh they've lost entire acres of produce to this pest which began invading their gardens about two years ago.

Some famers are on the brink of giving up agriculture altogether.
