The five-day festival of Deepavali 2021 begins on November 1 with Govatsa Dwadashi (in Maharashtra and Gujarat). However, most states consider Dhanteras the first day of Diwali, followed by Naraka Chaturdashi or Choti Diwali, Laxmi Pooja on Badi Diwali, Govardhan Puja and Bhai Dooj on next four days.
