A worrying thing has come to the fore amidst the decreasing corona infection cases in India. The new variant Delta Plus- AY.4.2, which has caused havoc in Britain and many countries of Europe, has now been found in India as well. This variant is more contagious than the delta variant. Director of CSIR Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology, Dr. Anurag Agarwal has told in a conversation with Aaj Tak that so far the data of AY.4.2 has come only from UK and some cases have been reported in India as well. He told that scientists are keeping an eye on it. There is no evidence yet about whether the new variant is weakening the immunity created by the Kovid vaccine. Along with this, very little evidence has been found so far that disease and death due to infection are also associated with this new mutation. This new variant of the corona virus is less dangerous than the alpha and delta variants. It is being said that Corona will not affect the pace of this epidemic much. According to a report, infectious diseases specialist William Schaffner said that right now the world will get to see many variants. He said that 'whatever happens now will come from Delta'.

भारत में घटते कोरोना संक्रमण मामलों के बीच एक चिंताजनक बात सामने आई है. ब्रिटेन और यूरोप के कई देशों में तबाही मचाने वाला कोविड का नया वैरिएंट Delta Plus- AY.4.2 अब भारत में भी मिल गया है. ये वैरिएंट डेल्टा वैरिएंट की तुलना में ज्यादा संक्रामक है. सीएसआईआर इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ जीनोमिक्स एंड इंटीग्रेटिव बायोलॉजी के डायरेक्टर डॉ. अनुराग अग्रवाल ने आजतक से बातचीत में बताया है कि अभी AY.4.2 का डेटा सिर्फ यूके से आया है और भारत में भी इसके कुछ मामले सामने आए हैं. उन्होंने बताया कि वैज्ञानिक इस पर नजर बनाए हुए हैं. क्या नया वैरिएंट कोविड वैक्सीन से बनी इम्युनिटी को कमजोर कर रहा है, इस बारे में अभी कोई सबूत नहीं है. इसके साथ ही अभी इस बारे में अभी बहुत ही कम सबूत मिले हैं कि संक्रमण से होने वाली बीमारी और मौतें भी इस नए म्यूटेशन से जुड़ी हुई हैं. कोरोना वायरस का ये नया वैरिएंट अल्‍फा और डेल्‍टा वैरिएंट के मुकाबले में कम खतरनाक है। कहा जा रहा है कि कोरोना यह महामारी की रफ्तार को ज्‍यादा प्रभावित नहीं करेगा। एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार संक्रामक बीमारियों के विशेषज्ञ विलियम शाफनर ने कहा कि अभी दुनिया को कई सारे वेरिएंट्स देखने को मिलेंगे। उन्‍होंने कहा कि 'अब जो कुछ भी होगा वह डेल्टा से आएगा।'
