Dhanteras holds the most special significance in Hinduism. The festival of Dhanteras is celebrated every year on the Trayodashi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. This year Dhanteras will be celebrated on Tuesday i.e. November 2. It is also known as Dhan Trayodashi or Dhanvantari Jayanti. Goddess Lakshmi, Treasurer Kuber and Lord Dhanvantari are worshiped on this day. According to religious belief, by worshiping on this day, the store of wealth in the house is always filled.
