Wreath laying ceremony of Jammu and Kashmir’s breaveheart Deputy Superintendent of Police Aman Thakur was performed on Monday in Jammu. The ceremony was attended by J&K Governor Satyapal Malik and Minister of State for Prime Minister’s Office Jitendra Singh and all high ranked police officials. The ceremony was performed with full honour. Thakur was killed in an encounter in Kulgam on February 24. He gave up two government jobs to don the uniform.
The slain DSP was a resident of Doda district, Thakur is survived by aged parents, wife and six-year-old son. He always wanted to be in the police force and had a passion for wearing the uniform.
