The security cover of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede, who is currently supervising the investigations in the high-profile Mumbai cruise drug bust case, has been increased after he alleged that two cops were monitoring his movements.
As per Wankhede's new security arrangement, a number of armed bodyguards, from Mumbai Police and NCB, have been added to his security fleet. His official vehicle has also been changed due to security reasons.
Sameer Wankhede had filed a complaint on Monday that he was being followed by two Mumbai cops when he visited the cemetery where his mother has been buried, according to sources. The two police officials are reportedly from the Oshiwara Police station and they allegedly went to the cemetery to take the CCTV footage to monitor Sameer Wankhede’s movement.
