Ashish Mishra, Union minister Ajay Mishra’s son, has been sent to 14 day judicial custody. Ashish Mishra was arrested on October 9. Mishra was arrested after close to 12 hours of questioning related to the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case. Reportedly, Ashish Mishra was taken to the Lakhimpur district jail, where he has been placed under Covid-19 quarantine. Ashish Mishra was named in the FIR following allegations that he was in one of the vehicles that mowed down four farmers in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri.
