On October 5, BJP registered a landslide victory in the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation (GMC) elections 2021. BJP won 41 seats out of 44. Congress managed to win only two seats. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) managed to win only one seat. It contested on 40 seats. Over 56 per cent voter turnout was recorded in the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation elections 2021.
