Deputy Education Minister ll Datuk Mohamad Alamin told reporters on Monday (Oct 4) that the one-off recruitment exercise to overcome the shortage of teachers in Johor, Sabah and Sarawak is still at the interview stage.

However, with the intake of 18,000 new teachers, he said the prolonged shortage of teachers over the past few years would be overcome.
