After being put under house arrest ahead of his scheduled visit to violence-hit Lakhimpur Kheri, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav staged a sit-in protest outside his residence in Lucknow on Monday morning. According to reports, security deployed outside his residence formed a cordon when Akhilesh Yadav had tried to leave.
