On October 1, Cyclone Shaheen is likely to form over the northeast Arabian Sea. It may intensify into a severe cyclone on October 1 night or early on October 2, as per IMD. Although Cyclone Shaheen will not cross the Indian coast, it’s likely to bring heavy to very heavy rain over Kutch and Saurashtra. Heavy to very heavy rain is likely at isolated places over Saurashtra and Kutch during the next 12 hours. On October 1, high tides are expected along and off the Gujarat coast, followed by ‘very rough’ conditions.
