Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched 35 crop varieties with special traits developed by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) to address the twin challenges of climate change and malnutrition. The new crop varieties were dedicated to the nation through a video conference organized at all ICAR institutes, state and central agricultural universities, and Krishi Vigyan Kendra. While addressing the people, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that in the midst of the fight against Corona, we have seen how the grasshopper had also launched a big attack in many states. India had made a lot of efforts to stop this attack and saved the farmers' crops from ruin. There is a huge responsibility on this new institute and the scientists working here will live up to the expectations of the country. When agriculture gets protection, it develops more rapidly. To protect the land of the farmer, 11 crore soil cards have been given to them. Watch what PM Modi said further in this regard.
