There has been a long debate in the country regarding the caste census, now the central government has clarified its stand on this issue. Filing an affidavit in the Supreme Court, the central government has said that the counting of OBC castes in the census is a long and difficult task. As such, it will not be included in the 2021 census.

देश में जातिगत जनगणना (Caste census) को लेकर लंबे वक्त से बहस छिड़ी है, अब इस मसले पर केंद्र सरकार (Centre Government) ने अपना रुख साफ किया है. सुप्रीम कोर्ट (Supreme Court) में एक हलफनामा दायर करते हुए केंद्र सरकार ने कहा है कि जनगणना में OBC जातियों की गिनती एक लंबा और कठिन काम है.ऐसे में 2021 की जनगणना में इसे शामिल नहीं किया जाएगा
