Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the United States on September 23. The Prime Minister will address the 76th United Nations General Assembly on September 25, a day after attending the first in-person Quad Leaders’ Summit in Washington DC.
PM Modi will hold bilateral meeting with President of the United States Joe Biden.
“In the bilateral meeting, the two leaders will have the opportunity to talk about the threat of counter-terrorism, the situation in Afghanistan and work together to fight a common enemy of terrorism,” said a senior Biden administration official to ANI.
Australian Prime Minister Scot Morrison and Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga will also discuss issues of mutual interests with Prime Minister Modi.
During the US visit, PM Modi will have separate meetings with the Heads of Qualcomm, Adobe, First Solar, General Atomics, and Blackstone on September 23.
The Prime Minister will also meet US Vice President Kamala Harris. This is PM Modi’s second overseas visit after Bangladesh since the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic.
