In order to curb eve-teasing against women, Amritsar Commissionerate Police on Tuesday launched an all-women 'Shakti Team' to represent women empowerment. The members of this team will be placed at various places in Amritsar where a significant number of eve-teasing incidents against women are reported, said police.

महिलाओं के साथ छेड़छाड़ (eve teasing) ऐसा अपराध है जिसे प्रमाणित करना बेहद मुश्किल है, क्योकि अपराधी अक्सर महिलाओं पर हमले के सरल तरीक़े ढूंढ़ लेते हैं, लेकिन अब ऐसा करना पंजाब (Punjab) में अपराधियों को भारी पड़ा सकता है। ये है शक्ति टीम (Shakti team) । जो ऐसे मनचले अपराधियों का अक्ल ठिकाने लगाएगी जो महिलाओं के छेड़ने की हरकतों से बाज नहीं आते। अब ऐसे मनचलों से निपटेगी शक्ति टीम।
