India is Asia’s third-largest economy, and it’s now preparing for a new generation of software companies like Zoom ($ZM@US) and Slack. The pandemic has forced businesses to invest in digital infrastructure, which has furthered the influence of software-as-a-service companies. Businesses spent an extra $15 billion per week on tech last year as remote working environments were more formally established. There are almost 1,000 such companies in India, 10 of which are startups worth at least $1 billion.
