Efforts have intensified to end the practice of expensive marriages in Muslim society. Now the marriage will be according to Shariat. This was stated by Maulana Khalid Rashid Firangi Mahali, a member of the Executive Committee of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board and a Muslim religious leader.
