The Taliban have announced their new interim government in Afghanistan. It will be headed by Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, who is still listed as a terrorist by the United Nations (UN) over his suspected role in the destruction of the Bamiyan Buddhas in March 2001. Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, will serve as a deputy to Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, along with Mawlavi Hanafi.
