Famous poet and lyricist Javed Akhtar has strongly criticized the Taliban's antics, calling it barbaric. Talking to NDTV on Friday, he said that there is no doubt that Taliban are barbaric and their actions are condemnable. Along with this, Javed Akhtar has compared the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh to the Taliban and said that those supporting it should introspect.

मशहूर कवि और गीतकार जावेद अख्‍तर (Javed Akhtar)ने तालिबान (Taliban)को बर्बर बताते हुए उसकी हरकतों की जमकर आलोचना की है. शुक्रवार को NDTV से बात करते हुए उन्‍होंने कहा कि इस बात में कोई शक नहीं कि तालिबानी बर्बर है और उनकी करतूतें निंदनीय हैं. इसके साथ ही जावेद अख्तर ने राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ की तुलना तालिबान से करते हुए कहा है कि इसे समर्थन देने वाले लोगों को आत्मचिंतन करना चाहिए।
