Panjshir is the heart of the resistance war against the Taliban in Afghanistan. It began with Ahmad Massoud refusing to surrender to the Taliban. After Ashraf Ghani resigned as Afghan president and fled the country, his Vice-President Amrullah Saleh rushed to Panjshir, joining Ahmad Massoud. He reportedly had about 3,000 forces under his command. 300 Taliban terrorists were killed in an attack by the Panjshir forces. Watch this episode of Vardaat.
