An earthquake of 5.1 magnitude occurred on Tuesday under the sea in the Bay of Bengal, 300 km from here. The National Center for Seismology said that the earthquake occurred at 12.35 pm. Its epicenter was located 296 km south-southeast of Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh at a depth of 10 km in the Bay of Bengal.

यहां से 300 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर बंगाल की खाड़ी में समुद्र के भीतर मंगलवार को 5.1 तीव्रता का भूकंप आया. राष्ट्रीय भूकंप विज्ञान केंद्र (एनसीएस) ने बताया कि अपराह्न 12 बजकर 35 मिनट पर भूकंप आया. इसका केंद्र आंध्र प्रदेश के काकीनाडा से 296 किलोमीटर दूर दक्षिण-दक्षिण पूर्व में बंगाल की खाड़ी में 10 किलोमीटर की गहराई में स्थित था.
