The Taliban has now arrived in Panjshir to take over the last free territory. The militant group have reportedly threatened to launch an attack if Ahmad Massoud does not peacefully surrender Panjshir.

Meanwhile, former Ashraf Ghani government defence minister General Bismillah Mohammadi had previously stated that Panjshir will not surrender and will continue to resist.
