Conservationists and local residents are calling for brine to be urgently pumped from salt fields near the St Kilda mangroves, north of Adelaide. About ten hectares of mangroves, including parts of the Adelaide International Bird Sanctuary, were killed off last year, and the group says action is needed now to prevent further destruction.
