The Taliban have taken control of Afghanistan after president Ashraf Ghani and his top ministers stepped down from their posts and fled the country on Sunday. With the capital city of Kabul falling into the Taliban's hands, countries, including India, are struggling to evacuate their citizens and embassy staff from Afghanistan. Sources told Aajtak that a C-17 aircraft operated by the Indian Air Force (IAF) carrying 46 people returned from Kabul on Monday afternoon with personnel and equipment.
