August 15, 2021 marks India 75th Independence Day. On August 10, the Union Home Ministry issued instructions to the States and Union Territories for following necessary preventive measures while organising celebrations on August 15, Independence Day. This comes in view of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Ministry said it was necessary to follow Covid-19 protocols like social distancing, wearing masks, sanitisation, protecting vulnerable persons and adhering to the Health Ministry’s guidelines.
