13th August is the day of Nagpanchami. On this day, the ornaments of Lord Shiva are worshiped by bathing the serpents with milk. First, Lord Shiva is anointed and offered bel leaves and water, then turmeric, roli, rice and flowers are offered to the serpents, gram, kheel batase and raw milk are offered to the serpents. By doing this there is no fear of snake.

13 अगस्त को नागपंचमी का दिन है. इस दिन भगवान शिव के आभूषण नागों को दूध से स्नान करवाकर उनकी पूजा की जाती है. पहले भगवान शिव का अभिषेक कर उन्हें बेलपत्र और जल अर्पित किया जाता है, फिर नागों को हल्दी, रोली, चावल और फूल अर्पित कर चने, खील बताशे और कच्चा दूध चढ़ाया जाता है. ऐसा करने से सांप का भय नहीं रहता.
