The Rajya Sabha has passed a key Constitutional amendment bill that proposes to restore the power of states and Union Territories to make their own OBC lists for the purpose of reservation in jobs and educational institutes. The Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty Seventh Amendment) Bill 2021, commonly called the OBC Bill, has already been passed by the Lok Sabha.
