▬ Story this of this video ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Firstly, a Pride of 10 Lions appeared unsuspectedly on Alpha Loop a side-road close to Skukuza Camp.
On the second day of sighting, two days later in the heat of the day, the same Lion pride hunts down a Cape Buffalo in the Sabie River at Bravo Loop just a couple of kilometres downstream.
The footage was taken by Gerry Smit and his guests from Kruger Gateway Safaris.
The next morning the Lion pride was joined by an opportunistic Nile Crocodile and a feisty herd of Elephants that did not want the carnivores close to their favourite drinking hole. They are seen chasing the lion and protecting their calves.
The first and the last sighting was seen with Private Kruger Safaris guides Hennie Bekker & Bernhard Bekker and their guests.
The result of the movie is an amazing short film focusing mainly on animal behaviour in the wild. We were lucky to capture some unusual behavior that played out during these 3 consecutive days on film.
The battle for survival is an ongoing daily fight for wild animals and if you come to The Kruger National Park it is exactly why we recommend doing multiple-day safaris in The Kruger instead of just a single-day drive as a multiple-day safari offers the guest the bigger picture and they have the chance to witness amazing animal behaviour for themselves.
Special thanks!
