India men's hockey team lost to Belgium in the Tokyo Olympics semifinals on August 3. India made it to the semifinals of the Olympics after 49 years with their last medal coming in the 1980 Summer Games. Until half-time the scores were level at 2-2. Eventually Belgium beat India 5-2.
