Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim (Harapan-Port Dickson) brought up the Istana Negara’s statement today in the Dewan Rakyat, shortly after it was released.

Anwar said the Istana Negara’s statement had stated clearly that the government led by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin had not only gone against the principles of the Federal Constitution, but also disrespected the royal institution.

“(The statement) also specifically stated by name that de facto law minister Takiyuddin Hassan had misled the House and the people,” Anwar told the Dewan Rakyat today.
