Today is the 194th birth anniversary of Mangal Pandey, the first revolutionary of the Indian freedom struggle who declared war against the British. Mangal Pandey first opened a front against the British on 29 March 1857. He attacked and injured a regiment officer at the Barrackpore Parade Ground near Calcutta.

अंग्रेजों के खिलाफ जंग का ऐलान करने वाले भारतीय स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के पहले क्रांतिकारी Mangal Pandey की आज 194वीं जयंती है. Mangal Pandey ने पहली बार 29 मार्च 1857 को अंग्रेजों के खिलाफ मोर्चा खोला था. उन्होंने कलकत्ता के पास बैरकपुर परेड मैदान में रेजीमेंड के अफसर पर हमला कर उसे घायल कर दिया था.
