The rains have brought calamity to some cities of the country. In many places, people lost their lives. Scary pictures have come from Rajasthan, Haryana to Andhra Pradesh, and Gujarat. At the same time, the flood situation in Bihar remains appalling and in the meantime, a frightening picture has emerged from the city of Samastipur. The Budhi Gandak river passing through the city of Samastipur is flowing well above the danger mark and the situation is such that an old iron bridge built to connect the two parts of the city is now in danger due to the rising water level.
