Rainfall lashed parts of the national capital on Tuesday morning, bringing Delhiites a much-needed reprieve from the scorching heat. Delhi has been reeling under extremely high temperatures of over 30 degree celsius. Before South Delhi witnessed heavy downpour, the MeT department said, "Thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain and winds with speed of 20-40 Km per hour would occur over and adjoining areas of most places of Delhi, NCR ( Bahadurgarh, Gurugram, Faridabad, Loni Dehat, Noida) Gohana, Sonipat, Rohtak (Haryana) Khekra (U.P .) during next 2 hours."
