Polling for 476 seats for the post of block chief is held in UP. BJP claims that its 334 block chiefs were elected unopposed. On the other hand, in Lakhimpur Kheri, major action has been taken in the case of misbehavior with the SP candidate for the post of block chief. 6 policemen including SP-CO and Inspector have been suspended.
