Newly inducted Union Cabinet Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Friday took charge of the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
He was accompanied by Gen (Retd) VK Singh, who assumed the charge as the Minister of State for Civil Aviation from his predecessor Hardeep Puri.
Scindia has taken over the charge of the ministry at a time when the civil aviation sector is facing strong headwinds due to the Covid-19 pandemic which has impacted overall demand and has also resulted in financial woes for the industry players.
