Bharatiya Janata Party president J P Nadda paid tribute to former Himachal Pradesh chief minister and Congress leader Virbhadra Singh.
He was accompanied by Chief Minister Jairam Thakur. CM Thakur also paid tribute to his predecessor.
While briefing on the last rites of Virbhadra Singh, Himachal Pradesh DGP Sanjay Kundu informed, “His body will be taken to the party office and then will be kept in Rampur overnight, followed by his last rites which will be performed with State honours.”
Virbhadra Singh died of post-Covid complications at the age of 87 on July 08. He was admitted to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla and breathed his last at 4 am. Himachal Pradesh declared a 3-day state mourning to condole the demise of the former chief minister.
