After Tirath Singh Rawat resigned late Friday night, Uttarkhand is expected to get a new chief minister on Saturday. The ruling BJP will hold a legislature meeting to select the next Chief Minister. Meanwhile, sources said that the oath-taking ceremony will also take place today. Bishan Singh Chuphal, a Didihat MLA and former Uttarakhand chief of the BJP, is thought to be one of the frontrunners, along with Chaubattakhal MLA Satpal Maharaj, Shrinagar MLA Dhan Singh Rawat, and Khatima MLA Pushkar Singh Dhami, to be the third Uttarakhand Chief Minister in four months.
