The Delta variant of Covid-19 was a major contributor to the second wave of infections. Now, the sub-lineage Delta Plus strain has emerged, it has been designated a variant of concern by the central government. Of the state's 21 cases, nine came from Ratnagiri district. With fears of a possible third wave triggered by the Delta Plus variant doing the rounds, AajTak went to Ratnagiri to see what preparations were being made on ground in the rural belt.
