In Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, only BJP candidate was nominated in the nomination of District Panchayat President. BJP has nominated Sadhna Singh, the wife of the party's MLA and former minister Fateh Bahadur Singh, as its candidate. The Samajwadi Party had given ticket to Alok Gupta and today June 26 was the date of nomination. But for not filing nomination of the SP candidate, the party has alleged that he was abducted.

उत्तर प्रदेश के गोरखपुर में जिला पंचायत अध्यक्ष के नामांकन में सिर्फ बीजेपी प्रत्याशी का ही नॉमिनेशन हो पाया. बीजेपी ने पार्टी के विधायक और पूर्व मंत्री फतेह बहादुर सिंह की पत्नी साधना सिंह को अपना प्रत्याशी बनाया है. समाजवादी पार्टी ने आलोक गुप्ता को टिकट दिया था और आज 26 जून को नामांकन की तारीख थी. लेकिन सपा उम्मीदवार के नामांकन नहीं करने को लेकर पार्टी ने आरोप लगाया है कि उनका अपहरण कर लिया गया था.
