They say, dogs are a man's best friend, but this puppy named Anandavelli is more than just a friend, for a family in Teluk Intan, she's a hero.

In an interview with Malaysiakini today, the puppy's owner Vimala Arumugam recalled how their family was saved from a fire thanks to the little pup.

In the incident that took place at 5am, Vimala was alerted to the fire when Anandavelli tirelessly yanked the shirt she was wearing.
