On International Yoga Day, Yoga guru Baba Ramdev reignited a debate with Congress's Abhishek Manu Singhvi over 'Om’ chants during performing asanas. Baba Ramdev said Bhagwan and Allah are the same. In a tweet, Abhishek Manu Singhvi said, “Chanting Om will neither make yoga more powerful nor will the power of yoga be reduced by saying Allah.”

Reacting to Abhishek Singhvi’s statement, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that yoga should not be connected to any religion. Various BJP leader have also slammed Abhishek Singhvi's statement.
