Amid the ongoing crisis in the Punjab government, party president Sonia Gandhi will meet Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday. This will be the Captain's second visit to the national capital this month. The chief minister will meet the Congress president, who has summoned several other senior leaders from Punjab, including Navjot Singh Sidhu, to work out a truce between rival factions ahead of the 2022 assembly elections, say sources.
