Researchers of IIT Gandhinagar found traces coronavirus in water samples of Sabarmati River. Traces of the virus were also found in samples of Chandola lake and Kankaria lake.

IIT Gandhinagar’s Earth Sciences Department Professor Manish Kumar said that people are using its water, so they should be very careful and aware because no one can say if Covid-19 will or will not spread by water. “We should stop Covid-19 infection in water by disposing solid waste carefully and hospital waste should be treated,” he added.
