The government here is trying its best to bring Mehul Choksi to India. An affidavit has been filed by the Indian authorities in this matter in the Dominica High Court today. It said that Mehul Choksi's Indian citizenship has still not expired. He is still our citizen. The affidavit said that the claim of relinquishing Indian citizenship is against the laws in India as it is completely false. Thus the claims being made by Mehul Choksi are completely bogus.

मेहुल चोकसी को भारत लाने के लिए यहां की सरकार पूरी कोशिश कर रही है। इस मामले में आज डोमिनिका हाई कोर्ट में भारतीय अधिकारियों द्वारा हलफनामा दायर किया गया है। इसमें कहा गया कि मेहुल चोकसी की भारतीय नागरिकता अभी भी समाप्त नहीं हुई है। वह अभी भी हमारा ही नागरिक है। हलफनामें में कहा गया कि भारतीय नागरिकता के छोड़ने का दावा भारत में कानूनों के विपरीत है क्योंकि यह पूरी तरह से गलत है। इस प्रकार मेहुल चोकसी द्वारा किए जा रहे दावे पूरी तरह फर्जी हैं।
