A controversy has erupted over the purchase of a piece of land by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, set up by the Centre last year following a Supreme Court order, in Ayodhya. There are allegations that the Ram Mandir trust fudged crores of rupees in the purchase of land. Just in a few minutes, land worth Rs 2 crore was bought for 18 and a half crores rupees.
